I Love My Freedom

Dear Friend,

On the Fourth of July, we celebrate our country’s independence. The cost of freedom comes high. We’re so blessed to live in a nation that still, for the most part, believes in freedom. However, Satan still tries to corrupt and divide our nation. We don’t want to lose our freedom. Many lives were lost fighting for it. I am grateful for all the sacrifices made so we can be free, living in a great nation like America. We must keep praying for our nation, for all our leaders to be touched by Jesus. We can’t lose our courage. We need to be strong, standing for the truth, and we know Jesus is the Truth. Amen.

My hope is that our nation repents for all the witchcraft, the shedding of innocent blood, the love of money—the list is long—but the mercy and love of God is longer. Amen. Despite all the trials we are currently seeing in our nation, I love what John 14:27 says: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I encourage you to continue praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping yourself built up in faith. I also love to worship God. Worship keeps us encouraged and stable in these troubled times—O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me (Psalm 25:2). I know that our Father will always have our back, amen.

I know it’s hard sometimes to stay positive, but that’s why it’s so important to keep our eyes and heart on the Lord. Our lives and how we respond to circumstances are our greatest testimonies. People will want to know how we stay in so much peace, amen. Colossians 4:6 says: Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Jesus paid the biggest price for our freedom. Let’s rejoice and be glad for all the wonderful things He has given us. When we celebrate freedom on the Fourth of July, let’s love and appreciate what it cost to have it. Amen.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
