I Love My Father

Dear Friend,

When I think about the love Jesus has displayed for us, it’s a little mindboggling. Sometimes, it is overwhelming to think how He endured so much just to redeem us, even the ones who were crucifying Him. It’s because Jesus had a good Father. In John 8:19, the Pharisees asked about the Father: Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

When we gave our hearts to Jesus—by confessing Him as our Lord—we became sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. We became God’s child, just like Jesus.

When I was first born again, I had a vision of climbing up into my Father’s lap. In the vision, I was about four years old. At that age in real life, that was a very turbulent time for me. That was when my mom sold me. Yet, the peace and love I felt after I was born again, sitting in my Father’s lap, I still feel to this day. I love my heavenly Father. He took the sad person that I was and gave me love, joy, peace, and hope. It was the same love He gave when He sent Jesus to save us. I appreciate what a beautiful, mighty God we serve.

I feel so bad for people who don’t know God or even believe He exists. The world still has the same disbelief they had when He was here physically. John 10:24-30 says:

Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

I and my Father are one.

Hallelujah!! We are so blessed to have Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. No matter what Satan tries to do, we have the best Father ever. Some people were blessed to have good earthly examples as dads, but no matter what, once you’ve become a son or daughter of God, you are blessed. Amen.

The greatest Example of God the Father is Jesus. First John 5:4,5 says:

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Praise God for all who believe Jesus is the Son of God, our beloved Redeemer. We have been adopted; we are no longer without a Father. We love You, Father.

For anyone who has a good earthly father as an example, you are blessed! God bless all of you loving, good earthly dads who are training your children to follow Jesus. Amen.

My prayer is that God can raise up more good men to be the examples Jesus wants them to be. Amen. Have a blessed Father’s Day!

In His love,

Donner Roberson
