Be Encouraged in the Love of God

Dear Friend,

It’s hard to believe we’ve entered into February already. With each day that passes, I want to encourage you to keep seeking God. I believe He has so many things He wants to share with you. First Corinthians 2:9 says: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The love that our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have for us amazes me. I will always be grateful that They love us. Jesus defeated Satan, so all we have to do is believe and trust the Lord.

I know I’m making life sound easy, but I also know how hard the enemy can hit and attack our minds. The idea that victory has already been won for us can boggle our minds because most people still question, “When is God going to do this?” and the Father is saying, “When are they going to receive what Jesus did on the Cross? We have done everything already.”

If we could totally comprehend how much God loves us, it would be easier for us to receive from Him. He loves us—that will never change. Thank You, Jesus.

If we allow the devil to use our mouths to speak negative things all of the time, we become our own worst enemies and we open the door for defeat to embrace us. Let’s remember what Jesus said in Luke 6:45: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

The devil will try and bombard our minds with lying thoughts and emotions until we’re mad at God “for not moving on our behalf.” But, really, we should be worshiping and telling God how grateful we are that He has already defeated our enemies, just as Paul and Silas did in the middle of their unjust and threatening circumstances:

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Acts 16:25,26

You are the apple of God’s eye. He will forever love you. Life can’t get any better than that. Just listen to what God said about you before you were ever even born: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God has a plan for you and He hasn’t changed His mind. He loves you so much—I can’t say that enough—and the devil is a liar.

Don’t give up on your dreams. Those are your hopes for the future. Be encouraged in the love of God. Amen!

In His love,

Donner Roberson
