Moms, Protect the Children

Dear Friend,

I would like to honor every mom, grandmother, and all the spiritual moms out there. I think being a mom has probably been the most important job I’ve ever had. Amen. I wish I could say that I was always a good example to my children, but I wasn’t. I didn’t give my heart to Jesus until my older children were in their teens. I changed so much when I got saved, and my new nature increased the love I already had for my kids.

It’s hard for me to believe that my oldest son will be sixty this year. He’s a grandpa to my two great-grandsons. (I’m smiling. I am so blessed.) My daughters are both in their fifties, and I love and appreciate them so much.

I know how protective we mothers can be. I’ve been called a “mama bear” more than once. That in itself is a compliment to me. What’s so sad nowadays is how many children are being destroyed by ideas that aren’t true. I met a woman years ago who—as a Christian—let her 16-year-old daughter build an alter to Satan in her home. I asked her why she would allow that, and she said so her daughter would stay home. Her daughter had threatened to run away. I had to ask the mom if she felt okay sending her daughter to hell. She got angry over that.

The daughter and her boyfriend told me that they had a “spirit guide.” I said, “So do I, and He is greater than yours. I have the Holy Spirit.” I let the young girl know that the only place her spirit guide would lead her was to hell. The good news is the mom made her daughter tear down the alter and started praying for her daughter.

The Lord cannot honor any form of witchcraft, and it’s our job as parents to teach our children about the Lord. I think the world is in the condition it’s in today because we failed as parents to stand up against some things. The devil has targeted our children with all the perversion he can. His influence is evident. Second Kings 17:17 says: And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. Every one of us needs to be careful of what we agree to. We need to stand up and fight for our children—all children. Amen. Satan thinks he is so powerful, but he’s not as strong as Jesus, and he never will be. Amen.

The devil is pretty puffed up right now. He loves how many babies are destroyed—the shedding of innocent blood. However, if we teach our children how to fight in the spirit and to love people the way Jesus does, we win. Amen. We need to trust our Father. He hasn’t forgotten us. I love what Isaiah 43:2 says: When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

We need to stand our ground! Our Father has the final say-so. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to teach us how to become better parents.

I thank God for my children, and I thank God for you. Have a blessed and wonderful Mother’s Day this month.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
