He’s Home

Dear Friend,

As many of you know, my brother Pastor Dave Roberson went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2022. I know that he is embracing Jesus, and Jesus received him with open arms. I’ve always considered my brother one of God’s generals. He made the way for many of us with the revelation of what praying in the Holy Spirit does for us. He operated in many of the gifts—teaching, healing, and he could preach (I’m smiling). I know what it took to get where he was. Amen. I know what he had to overcome.

It was always said in our family that we would never amount to anything. We were those Roberson kids!! We were called dumb, too stupid to do anything, let alone becoming one of God’s generals.

My brother wrote an amazing book called The Walk of the Spirit—The Walk of Power. He preached all over the world, and he never gave up in spite of all the obstacles he faced. His heart was broken when he lost three of his sons, yet he continued his fight. He left us with a great legacy, and now we must continue the fight. Amen.

I know my brother wasn’t perfect. None of us are. But he always said, “You can go as far into God as you want. Never stop.”

In my family, there were six of us kids originally. Anne was the firstborn. She died at age two. Then Margaret, Dave, me, Steve, and Danny (who died a few days after he was born).

I’ve always called Pastor Dave “Bud.” If I called him Pastor Dave, he would think I was upset with him. He was born on Margaret’s second birthday, so he said he was her birthday present, and she said she wanted a puppy (I’m smiling).

Our family came out of a lot. Jesus made a way for us just like He has for you. I know we’ve all suffered losses, but the best of the best is knowing that our family and friends are saved and that we will see them again. We will always miss our loved ones, which is yet another reason why we should never give up. Second Timothy 4:7 says: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

I know in my heart that my brother was received in Heaven with honor. Amen. There’s no question about it. He loved Jesus and spent his life serving Him. But if you have a loved one whom you are praying for, I would encourage you to never give up. I believe that even in the last few seconds of life, Jesus will reach them.

So many people came to my brother’s memorial service, and many sent their love. He impacted so many lives. He was blessed to have so many people love him.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38,39

God bless you and stay strong and full of His love, peace, and courage.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
