Overcome the World

Dear Friend,

I’m praying that all is well with you. It brings me joy to tell you how much our Lord loves you.

Isn’t it wonderful that in a tormented, negative world, we can have peace that passes all understanding? Amen. I love that Jesus constantly assures us that He is there for us. Ephesians 1:21 says: Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come—Jesus will not give up on us.

I realize the world can make life look hopeless, especially to a person who doesn’t know Jesus. But, truthfully, if I was going to fear something, it would be the Christian who agrees and lives like the world. I see so many Christians who are unforgiving, angry, and are continually attacking others.

I’m pretty sure that none of us are perfect. I know I’m not. I need God’s mercy and forgiveness, therefore I choose to forgive others, and at times, I have to work at it. I don’t ever want to lose sight of how much Father God loves people. Jesus is proof of that. Amen. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of John 3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

I’m so glad that God is full of love and mercy, but we also need to remember that we can’t agree with sin. James 4:4 is pretty plain about that fact: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. I would much rather be a friend of God. Amen.

The very best thing we can do as Christians is pray for the lost, pray for our leaders, act according to God’s Word and not our emotions, speak the truth in love, and become a voice and light for our Lord Jesus.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

Praise God, we are so blessed. We truly have it all because we have a Savior, and His Name is Jesus!!

Satan’s days are numbered, and Jesus has already defeated him. Thank you, Jesus.

In His love,
