Dear Friend ,

It brings a great deal of joy to my heart to watch my grandson Levi get all excited about Christmas. He is starting to understand that this holiday isn’t just about gifts and Santa Claus—it’s about Jesus.

When we read Bible stories together , Levi loves the story of Mary giving birth to Jesus. He is very excited to celebrate Jesus’ birthday this year , because of course , it’s another reason for cake (I’m smiling).

I’m so honored that our Lord trusted me with this precious child , my grandson. Levi is a reminder to me of how much Jesus truly loves children.

I know many people are hurting in the world today—those whom only our Lord can comfort. My prayer is that the Lord touches each and every person , sharing with them the love , peace , and joy of what Christmas is really about.

The Lord is my strength and my shield ; my heart trusted in him , and I am helped : therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth ; and with my song will I praise him.

Psalm 28:7

Please take this psalm of David with you into 2016 and be blessed with the Lord’s love , peace , and joy. Jesus loves you , and so do I.
