Thankful & Grateful

Dear Friend,

I’m writing this before the November elections take place because I want you to know how I feel beforehand.

I think we need to continually encourage ourselves and be supportive of one another in our Lord Jesus. Amen. I count my blessings on a regular basis. I keep God’s goodness in front of me daily. I am so grateful that I have a family and church family who love and pray for me. I know for some, it’s a sacrifice to support this ministry, and I pray for the Lord to supply all of your needs in spirit, soul, and body. I appreciate all of the prayers that are prayed for me, because I know that we all need them. I’m so grateful that we have a Father who loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son so we can spend eternity with Him. Amen.

Every day, fear is trying to take over people’s minds. Satan’s first place of attack on people usually starts with the mind. He whispers things like “You’re not worthy,” and he tries to discredit everything the Lord has and will do for us.

The saddest thing I’ve seen is how Satan convinces people that it’s okay to engage in the world’s beliefs while thinking that in God’s love, there are no consequences. God will forever love us—that’s true—but there are consequences for what we do. James 4:4 says: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? (Enmity meaning: “The state or feeling of being actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.”) Thankfully, verse 6 says: But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

We must always pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show us how to please our Lord. I pray that no matter how things turn out with the election, we will live according to Second Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Amen.

People are God’s greatest love. We have all made mistakes, yet all He asks us to do is repent and allow Him to change us. We are so valuable to Him, just like Luke 12:6,7 says:

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

God loves us so much. He said in John 10:27-30:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

I and my Father are one.

Praise God! Does it really get any better than that? He loves us. Amen. I encourage you to keep believing and trusting in our Lord and Savior Jesus. And I hope your Thanksgiving Day holiday is full of love, peace, and joy. God bless you.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
