Dear Friend,
I would like to begin this letter with First Corinthians 15:57,58:
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Our Lord knows the beginning from the end. He knows what we need before we ask. Amen. For God’s children, the important thing is not to give up. He has not forgotten us. Amen.
It’s important that we stay focused on what God has to say about our problems. Jesus lives in us, and the Holy Spirit will comfort and teach us what we need to know in order to break the chains of bondage that Satan uses to try to convince us that we cannot win. But the truth is: We’ve already won. Satan is a liar, and he wouldn’t and couldn’t tell the truth if it walked up and slapped him. Amen!
We are living in a time when everything we say and do makes an impact. This is an election year, and that seems to invoke a lot of hatred. Therefore, it’s up to us to pray and to encourage people to stand for truth and justice and to walk in love and peace. Even though there are a lot of things I do not like about what’s going on in the world, I do pray that the Lord can bring people into repentance.
I think Martin Luther King, Jr. was an amazing man full of wisdom. He said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Amen. When you go out to vote this year, don’t vote because they are male or female, black or white; vote for the good that they can do for our country—to make it better for all people. We need to be fair and honest in our search for truth. I’m hoping that we can unite as a people and bring our country to a better place and stand strong without being hateful. It’s important that we pray for truth to come forward and that all people have eyes to see and ears to hear. Amen.
First John 5:4 says: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. No matter what happens, we are blessed. Our Father has our back.
Isaiah 50:7 says: For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. Glory be to God! He will always have our back. He is a good Father.
I love Father God, Jesus, and the sweet Holy Spirit. We must never let go of Them. Amen.
In His love,
Donner Roberson
