Jesus Loves Us Unconditionally

Dear Friend,

Have you ever woken up feeling happy no matter what was coming your way? Today I felt a peace and joy that was very strong. I had to grocery shop, and while I was out, several people talked to me at different times wanting an opinion or help with something. It was fun because I got to share Jesus being my Rock.

If people can feel the Presence of love, peace, and joy, they become drawn to you. They are drawn to the love of Jesus within you.

With Easter Sunday being just around the corner, it reminds many of us of what Jesus has done. The joy I feel just knowing I’m saved and that He loves me overwhelms me sometimes. Jesus is alive and well, glory to God!

When I read to my grandson Levi at bedtime, I always read to him about how Jesus loves children. Matthew 19:13,14 actually shows Jesus rebuking the disciples for trying to send the children away:

Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

The same scene in Mark 10:15 also adds this saying: Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. Children are very special to our Lord. He loves them. We’re His children and He loves us unconditionally.

I really like the definition of unconditional: “not subject to any conditions, unconditional surrender, wholehearted, unqualified, unreserved, unlimited, unrestricted, unmitigated, unquestioning, complete, total, entire, full, absolute, and unequivocal.” That’s how God feels about you. You’re His child.

Praise God, we are blessed beyond measure to have such a wonderful Lord. Jesus will always and forever love us.

I’ve been teaching Levi to love unconditionally. We have a new addition to our family, Mr. Doggy Woggy (I’m smiling). He is a two-year-old dachshund and pit bull mix and very sweet. We got him at the Humane Society. He is energetic, loving, and has chewed up some of Levi’s toys!

Levi was upset and said he didn’t like Mr. Doggy Woggy anymore. I told Levi that we have to teach him not to do certain things. I said to Levi, “I love you even when you break things, right?”

“Yes, Mom.”

I said, “And Jesus loves me even when I break something.”

I noticed that the two were best buddies not too long after our talk so I think Mr. Doggy Woggy is helping to train Levi as well.

I call the dog “Mister.” I’m smiling because he responds well to that nickname.

I’m so grateful that Jesus lived and died for us. I can’t imagine life without Him. Let’s share His love with the people He died to save. Amen.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
