Jesus Gave Us Everything

Dear Friend,

Can you imagine what the people felt like when Jesus was crucified? Matthew gives an account of the day Jesus died and the days following, saying:

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Matthew 27:51-53

I think those events had to have terrified the people, just like it would scare us today to see people getting out of their graves. It would have been a difficult time, yet Matthew 27:54 says: Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Think of all the benefits we have because Jesus was faithful. He chose to be crucified even though He was sin free. In John 14:30, Jesus spoke to the disciples before His death, saying, Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. Satan made a mistake the day he crucified the Lord, glory to God!

I have to laugh when I think about how foolish Satan was, and I’m glad he wasn’t smart enough to stop God’s plan of redemption. The devil failed there, and because Jesus succeeded, we can have life eternal with our Lord Jesus.

Thank You, Father God, for loving us so much that You gave us Your Son, Jesus. And then Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, our Teacher and Comforter, to help us.

Sometimes we forget how much Jesus really did for us. He gave us everything. If only we believe, not only are we redeemed from the pit of hell, but we can also have healing, peace, and joy. Jesus will take care of us because we are the children of God.

First Corinthians 2:7,8 says:

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Now that’s reason to celebrate! Jesus did and still is defeating the devil. Hallelujah! God is good! We are a blood-bought people and we should be tormenting Satan instead of him tormenting us.

This is my heart for you—that you can receive all the things the Lord has for you. First Corinthians 2:9 says, But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I thank God for my salvation, my healings, and for all of you wonderful sisters and brothers in the Lord. We are blessed!

Let’s praise God and let others know how much Jesus loves them as we celebrate Easter and His resurrection this month.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
