The Lord Will Take Care of Everything

Dear Friend,

Have you ever had a problem letting go of a wrong that was done to you? Recently, I did business with someone to the tune of four thousand dollars. (I’ll call him “Hank” because I don’t want to expose him.) Unfortunately, Hank did not honor our agreement. When this first happened, I found myself getting quite angry, but thank God, the Holy Spirit started teaching me.

The first thing the Holy Spirit showed me was that Hank didn’t know God the way I did. He didn’t understand the tactics of the enemy, how Satan can clamp onto people’s mind just to cause them grief. The Holy Spirit shared with me that I needed to pray protection over Hank’s mind so that he could think clearly.

Almost immediately I found out that Hank was really going through some tough battles. He had been getting sick, his employees were walking out on him without notice—things were just a mess in his life. I’m not excusing his lack of professionalism, but it gave me a greater understanding for his situation.

I spoke to Hank last week and we will work to get things resolved. The first thing he said to me was that he knew I was angry. However, from my heart I was able to assure him that I wasn’t, although I did tell him that I had to work at not getting mad.

This is just another example of why I love the Lord so much. The Holy Spirit was able to put me in check before I opened my mouth and caused more damage to this man’s life. The Lord is for justice, but He will never agree with vengeance, amen. We will always have plenty of opportunities to get into strife and make things ugly, but that doesn’t accomplish what God has for us. There is a reason He says in Luke 6:27,28:

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Being a doer of the Word is not always easy, but how we respond in difficult situations can change people’s lives. Listen to what Paul said in Romans 12:18-21:

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

When this situation first started to head downhill, I purposed in my heart that I would not let it get the better of me. And the Lord’s peace came in, letting me know He would take care of everything.

I thank You, Father, in the Name of Jesus, and I thank You, Holy Spirit, for helping me.

I hope hearing about my experience and God’s faithfulness to see me through has helped you. He is our Perfect Father—He will always take care of His children. All we have to do is reach out for His love and let Him guide us each step of the way.

In His love,
