Mother’s Day Blessings

Dear Friend,

Here it is—May already, and I love it. This year has been flying by, and little Levi has kept me pretty busy. When I look at him, I feel so much love that I could pop (I’m smiling)! I love being a mom, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. Raising my grandson, Levi, has put me back into “mom” status.

When Levi was a tiny baby, I thought I wouldn’t be able to hear him in the middle of the night like I heard my other kids as a young mom. However, being a mom doesn’t leave. I could hear Levi breathing even while I slept.

Being a mom is a very important job, and raising children isn’t an easy task—but it’s one of the most rewarding ones. I know some of you don’t have children, but you still take people into your heart and nurture them. Many of you are wonderful spiritual moms. We impact and help shape the lives of children and young people more than we know.

I wish I had let Jesus into my life sooner than I did—it would have made such a difference. I am so blessed that I get to raise Levi with Jesus, amen. He already raises his hands when we worship. I think that’s pretty awesome for a 16-month-old.

I want to bless all of you moms. You are so amazing. You teach, cook, clean, nurse, and so much more. God bless you. Proverbs 31:25-28 says:

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time

to come.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law

of kindness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed;

I see so many young moms who are doing a beautiful job raising their children and teaching them about Jesus. I believe our Father is pleased when He sees the heart of a mother.

It’s a real blessing when I see my children, grandchildren, and my great-grandchild and see what God’s doing in their lives. This year, my daughter Paula’s birthday is on Mother’s Day just like it was when she was born. She was my Mother’s Day present (I’m smiling again).

I love raising Levi, and when he puts his little arms around my neck and gives me a kiss, I just melt. I know that some of you are single parents too, and it’s hard at times. But Jesus makes it better. He is our Champion!

Lord, I thank You for all of the women who are raising children and grandchildren. Lord, give them the strength, courage, and wisdom that they need to accomplish this amazing journey of raising a child. Numbers 6:24-27 says:

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:

The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will

bless them.

Let’s keep Jesus in the lives of our children. God bless you and have a wonderful Mother’s Day.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
