Dear Friend,
It’s hard to believe that November is here already. This is the month that we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. I have so much to be thankful for. Amen. I’m thankful to have a family who loves me and has stood with me through many trials in life. I love my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Recently, my oldest daughter took me to Italy for a mother-and-daughter trip. It was absolutely amazing! The history there is so very rich.
I am also very thankful for my church family. It’s awesome how we pray for each other and stand with each other through the many battles that we—as soldiers of Christ—endure. Amen. When we have Jesus, we really have everything, and He will never let us go. My heart breaks for people who can’t seem to receive His unconditional love.
I love the definition of unconditional: “unreserved, unlimited, unrestricted, wholehearted, complete, total, entire”—the list goes on. Sadly, some people are hurting so badly that they can’t receive the unconditional love of God. It took me forever to accept God’s love because of the lack of love I had while growing up. And even though I loved and protected my own children the best I knew how, my love for them couldn’t compare with the love I felt when I became born again. Jesus gave us life everlasting. What an amazing God we serve!
I will be forever grateful for being part of the family of God. I will always try my best to please our Lord. He has never stopped loving us.
The Thanksgiving holiday can be a tough time for many people, so please open your home and hearts to those who can’t be with family at this time. Colossians 3:15 says: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. I also love what Psalm 100:4 says: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
My heart goes out to all who are hurting. Keep them in your prayers and please continue praying for Israel. We must keep them covered. Have a very blessed Thanksgiving Day!
In His love,
Donner Roberson
