Dear Friend,
It is an awesome responsibility to be a father. We need more godly fathers to mentor our young men. Amen. I’m blessed that Levi has a godly man in his life whom he can respect and look up to. I love what Jesus had to say about this in John 5:19,20:
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Jesus was the perfect Example of God the Father.
I know that children can rebel against what they are taught, but with prayer and trust in our Heavenly Father, they will return. Amen. The Parable of the Prodigal Son is a good example of the Father’s love and mercy.
Luke 15:13-16 says that the son took his inheritance and wasted it on worldly living. Then, when he ran out of money, he ended up eating with the swine. I guess that’s about as pathetic as you can get; however, he was smart enough to return to the father who loved him, and when he came to his senses, his father wasn’t angry. Instead of anger, Luke 15:22-24 says:
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
Now in John 10:27-30 Jesus says:
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
I and my Father are one.
We should never give up on our children just like our Father never gave up on us. Amen.
Please keep praying for family unity and restoration. Pray for our nation and the lost souls all over the world in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In His love,
Donner Roberson
