Dear Friend,
I was thinking about Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus. They were grief stricken over their brother’s death, and when Jesus came, Martha said in John 11:21-27:
Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
If we dare to believe what Jesus says in verses 25 and 26, His words take away the fear of death. They also tell us how important salvation is. We must keep praying for the lost. Amen.
First Corinthians 15:55-58 says:
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Isn’t the provision God made for us amazing? Our prayers are not in vain. Praying for the lost, our nation, our leaders—that’s a privilege not to be taken lightly. We have the goods. Amen. We have God the Father; we have Jesus our Savior, and the sweet Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide. Do not be discouraged or dismayed. We have already won! He has risen! Glory!! What Jesus said in John 14:27 is my prayer for you: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Always remember how much Jesus loves you—He died for you. You can celebrate Easter knowing He has risen and the gift of eternal life has been given to you. Amen. God bless you.
In His love,
Donner Roberson
