We’re Blessed

Dear Friend,

Here it is November. It’s so hard to believe that this year has gone so fast. November brings my favorite holiday, which is of course Thanksgiving Day. It’s a time when families get together to share a feast. It’s also a good time for the fruits of the Spirit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith to show friends and neighbors the love that our Father has for us.

I’m blessed that I have friends and family to share God’s love with. Sadly, some people don’t have that. Sometimes a little kindness and love can change a person’s life.

It will forever amaze me at what God can do in a short amount of time. Let’s open up our hearts and pray for the lost, the hurting, the homeless, and pray that God can heal their broken hearts, heal their bodies, and restore them to God the Father.

Jesus did such an amazing work on the Cross, and more people need what He accomplished for all of us.

If all we ever had was salvation, that would be enough to be grateful for all eternity. But Jesus gave us so much more—He healed us, He prospered us, and He loves us. To me, Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday. It’s a time of blessing and being blessed with a full heart extending God’s love to hurting, lonely people.

In Philippians 4:6, the Apostle Paul says: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Then verse 8 says: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I know how much we all love the Lord and are truly grateful for everything He has done. This year has had a lot of ups and downs, but I’ve got to say that the Lord has been faithful through it all. I pray He blesses you beyond measure!

In His love,

Donner Roberson
