Keep Praying for Your Children

Dear Friend,

The love of God is always and will forever be amazing to me. The joy that’s expressed in Heaven when just one sinner comes to God should tell us what’s important. Luke 15:4-7 says:

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Many of us are believing for children who haven’t made a commitment to God, and it’s heart wrenching to think that one of our children might go to hell. That’s why we must never give up on our children, just as God the Father never gave up on us.

A couple of years ago, my son asked me what I wanted for Mother’s Day. I told him the greatest gift would be for him to give his heart back to Jesus so that we could spend eternity together. I believe with all of my heart that he will return to Jesus. I am believing the same for all of our lost children.

I have received some good reports about children having good, positive changes and heading back in the direction of God. One young man wrote to me from prison and said he is freer now than he’s ever been. He found Jesus in prison. Hallelujah!

If we keep saying negative things over our loved ones or keep beating them up with their past, they will never change. Every day I tell my grandson Levi how smart and handsome he is and how much I love him and how much Jesus loves him. Then we go down the list of everyone who loves him. (I’m smiling because the list is rather long.)

Not long ago, Levi and I sat in our storm shelter for about an hour during some bad weather. Levi was frightened while the tornado sirens were blasting. He said, “Mama, me scared.” I told him that Jesus would protect us, that He was a good God.

Levi was happy with that, but I didn’t know how it affected him until later. When he was with his Papa Darrin, Levi said, “Papa, God will protect us from the storms.” I love it! Our God is faithful. Don’t give up!

Mother’s Day is this month. God bless all of you praying mamas. I set myself in agreement for all our unsaved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Remember what Isaiah 49:25 says: But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

When your lost ones come in, please let us know so we can rejoice with you— it will encourage those who are still standing for their loved ones. God bless you and have a wonderful time with your family this Mother’s Day. Call your mom or your grandmother and tell her how much you love her.

In His love,

Donner Roberson
