Dear Friend,
We are beginning a new year, and our hopes and expectations vary depending on our
personal needs. I know that I want much more of Jesus and a lot less of me. Amen. There are
many of us who pray daily for our nation, our leaders, our families, and the lost souls. The Holy
Spirit is here to teach and guide us in all truth, and Jesus is the Truth!
I’ve noticed that anger is an issue that hits on many levels—the injustices are many, and
I’m not exempt. Sometimes it’s a real battle to maintain peace; nevertheless, Romans 12:17,18
says:
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of
all men.
IF IT BE POSSIBLE, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
The Apostle Paul also stated in verse 21: BE NOT OVERCOME OF EVIL, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH
GOOD—although he never said it would always be easy.
I think it takes a great deal of courage to do the right thing when many think that
“pleasing people” is more important. I would like to think that pleasing Jesus, God the Father,
and our sweet Holy Spirit is more important. Amen. I’m praying that we get strong enough and
bold enough to start seeing more people healed, delivered, and set free!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we started living the Book of Acts? During that time, many
were healed, delivered, and set free via Paul and the other disciples ministering to them.
However, a counterfeit operation couldn’t do those same miracles. We see an example of a
counterfeit operation in Acts 19:13-17:
Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over
them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by
Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests,
which did so.
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but
who are ye?
And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame
them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and
wounded.
And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus;
and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
If we are full of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the devil is fearful. He might try our ground, but
he knows that he can’t win, and many people—even those who practice witchcraft—can end up
surrendering to Jesus just like verses 19 and 20 say:
Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together,
and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it
fifty thousand pieces of silver.
So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
I love that! Praise God!!! Glory to God!! I’m smiling. I want all who are opposed to Jesus
to repent. He absolutely died for all of us. Amen.
This new year, keep building up your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost
according to Jude 1:20. And Jude 1:21 is my prayer for you for 2026—keep yourselves in the
love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. God bless and keep
you every day this year.
In His love,
Donner Roberson
